Martin Salerno - Instructor
After finishing my university studies, I began my career with a large company in Buenos Aires, Argentina, where I worked for 10 years. It was during this time that I decided to embark on a journey that would change my lifestyle forever.

I left Argentina and moved to the island of Maui then on to Santa Barbara, California where I lived for 2 years learning to surf. Soon my life revolved around the fantastic sport of surfing. And that’s how I came to live here and open Neptuno Surf Camp in Tamarindo, Costa Rica.

I am a great believer that everything happens for a reason. Today, after more than 20 years travelling the country of Costa Rica surfing, I have settled down in this corner of paradise where I have started a family and a healthy lifestyle full of “pura vida!” Thank you Tamarindo, Costa Rica.

Ariel

Ariel - Neptuno Surf instructorI was born and raised in the town of Limon on the Caribbean coast of Costa Rica. After completing my studies, I moved to San Jose where I took various jobs in the big city. I found myself missing the beach and sea, so I moved to Tamarindo. I was completely captivated by Tamarindo Beach – the people, surfing, and climate on The Gold Coast of Costa Rica. It was the perfect place to settle down and continue my personal growth.

Eventually, commitments took me to Switzerland, where I lived for 4 years learning to speak perfect German. My Swiss adventure was a great experience and it enabled me to grow and develop into the person that I am today. However, once again, the amazing beaches and surfing that Tamarindo offered called me back to The Gold Coast.

My passion has always been surfing. Teaching people to surf and enjoy themselves in the waves fills me with great satisfaction. Surfing changes lives. Things are never the same once you learn to surf. I am blessed to be a part of the Neptuno Surf family where I have helped many surf enthusiasts transform into true surfers.
